Carrot Chapathi

Carrot chapathi is very simple and healthy breakfast for kids and even for adults. This recipe contains only carrot and wheat flour and I have not used any masala in it. Table Turnip Akki Rotti

Table Turnip Akki rotti is one of the healthy breakfast and even kids likes because of its pink colour and taste good. This akki rotti is prepared same as Masale akki rotti. Only the difference is ingredients used in it.

Masale Akki Rotti

Akki rotti is one of the signature dish from Karnataka. Each part of karnataka has their own type of akki rotti. Plain akki rotti, malnad akki rotti, masala akki rotti, baliyo akki rotti, soppina akki rotti. Main ingredient of akki rotti is rice flour. Rose Coconut Ladoo

Red Snapper / Rani Meenu / Sankara Fish Tawa Fry


In South India, Red snapper fish is popular as Rani Meenu or Sankara Meenu. One of my friend introduced this fish to me. I have started cooking fish only from past two years when I my daughter started eating fish. I prefer to give home made non-veg food for my kids. This recipe is from my friend's recipe. DIY : Simple Bottle Painting


Any glass drinks bottle can be reused for many purposes like a show piece, pot for water plants, lamp stand and many more. In this DIY, I have shown very basic and simple bottle painting and require minimal materials. Before painting the glass bottle, remove the labels/stickers on bottle, clean it thoroughly and dry completely. This activity can be done along with your kids. Even they will enjoy.

Carrot Kheer


Carrot kheer is one of the easiest kheer which can be prepared with less time apart from cooking time of carrot with milk. This is long pending post which was in my inbox from more than 6 months. Always I keep finding a way to feed vegetables to my kids. Especially my son is fuzzy eater and very difficult to convince him about any recipes. Another variation of carrot kheer recipe where carrot is grated and cooked in milk and sugar. On my son’s demand, I have prepared this kheer with carrot puree. This kheer has creamy and smooth texture and flowing consistency. We can adjust the consistency by adding more milk to the kheer.

Bellada Kaayi Chutney / Coconut Sweet Chutney


Generally we prepare Sihi(sweet) chutney for Idly and Neer Dosa. It is one of easiest coconut chutney to prepare, less time consuming and has only three ingredients. Kids will love this chutney. Since its sweet for their taste buds. Jaggery can be replaced with sugar but jaggery will give the traditional touch to the chutney. Freshly grated coconut will be give a nice taste to the chutney.

Sabudana Kheer / Sabakki Kheer / Sago Kheer


Kheer is one of the easiest dessert or sweet which can be prepared with less time. But this Kheer is easy but need quite time to prepare. Since sabudana has to be soaked for 30 to 60 mins. I prefer preparing this kheer by soaking sabudana for some time and boil in milk till turns into milky and creamy texture but my mom prepare this kheer by roasting sabudana and cook in the pressure cooker. My daughter loves this kheer and calls it as a ball kheer. This can be served hot or chilled. It can refrigerate for 2 to 3 days.

Fruit Trifle Pudding




Fruit Trifle is a simple layered dessert with sponge cake, custard, fruits and jelly. This dessert is perfect for party and can be prepared a day before the party and even kids can prepare this dessert with little guidance of elders.
