Peanut Chutney Powder / Kadlekaayi chutney pudi


Peanut chutney powder is one of the easiest chutney powder can be without any mess and super delicious and healthy powder. It can be served with Chapathi, Dosa, Idly and sometimes even I eat with Rice.



Ingredients:

Peanut                       - 1 Cup
Chana dal/split Bengal gram  - 1/4 cup
Peeled Garlic                - 10
Red chillies                 - 10 (5 Byadagi for color + 5 Guntur for spicy)
Curry leaves                 - handful
Tamarind                     - 1/2 lemon size
Cooking oil                  - 1 tsp
Dry coconut                  - 4 tbsp (Optional)
Salt to taste

Method:

Step 1 : Roast peanuts in kadai or microwave without oil till the skin peels or peanuts turn light brown and dry roast chana dal.

Step 2 : Add a tsp of oil into kadai then roast red chillies, garlic and tamarind. After a min, add curry leaves and roast till becomes crisp.

Step 3 : Add roasted peanuts, chana dal and salt into the kadai and roast for 1 or 2 mins along with other ingredients.

Step 4 : Allow mixture to cool completely before grinding. In a blender or mixer grinder, pulse it to the medium coarse powder.
Store in an air tight container
