Peas Pulao / Pressure cooker Peas Pulao



There are different ways of preparing Peas Pulao. I usually prepare peas pulao in pressure cooker. Even it can be prepared by cooking rice separately and mixing with the peas pulao malasa. Here, i have shared a recipe of cooking in pressure cooker. Using fresh peas gives nice aroma to the pulao. One who cant find fresh peas can use frozen peas. Pea pulao can be served along with raitha or any vegetable koot or khurma.

Spring Onion - Aloo Sandwich

Sandwich is all time favorite for kids and any veggies can be filled in the sandwich. If i want to make my kids to eat vegetables, then sandwich and paratha are the two dishes comes to my mind. Just I need to serve along with tomato ketchup for sandwich and curds for paratha. I had left over Spring Onion-Aloo filling when i prepared for paratha. I am using same filling for making sandwich.

Spring Onion Aloo Paratha




Paratha is most popular dish in North India, especially in Punjab. It can be had for breakfast and even for meal. Whole wheat bread is stuffed with spiced Spring onion and Aloo/Potato. Taste of the filling can be altered by adding spices and even more spring onion can be added.

Akki Shavige Chitranna / Lemon Flavored Rice Vermicelli

Akki Shavige Chitranna is a simple vermicelli dish which has mild flavor of lemon and it is South Indian breakfast. I still remember the taste of akki shavige with coconut chutney in Indra Bhavan, Mysore. They used to prepare with less ingredients and taste out of the world. Unfortunately, Indra Bhavan branch in Sayyaji Rao Road is closed. Today, I will be sharing the Akki Shavige Chitranna recipe but can't compare with the taste of Indra Bhavan's Akki Shavige.

Carrot Chapathi

Table Turnip Akki Rotti

Table Turnip Akki rotti is one of the healthy breakfast and even kids likes because of its pink colour and taste good. This akki rotti is prepared same as Masale akki rotti. Only the difference is ingredients used in it.

Masale Akki Rotti

Akki rotti is one of the signature dish from Karnataka. Each part of karnataka has their own type of akki rotti. Plain akki rotti, malnad akki rotti, masala akki rotti, baliyo akki rotti, soppina akki rotti. Main ingredient of akki rotti is rice flour. Table Turnip Paratha



Table turnip paratha is one of the healthy breakfast and its good for everyone at home. My kids prefer to eat poori instead of paratha. Usually, I use paratha dough itself to prepare poori for my kids. For rest of the family, We prepare paratha. I had bought Table turnip from ooty. I had prepared paratha using Table turnip's leaves and Akki rotti using Table turnip itself. I will be posting Table turnip akki rotti.

Neer Dosa


Mangalore Neer Dosa is an easy, simple, quick and healthy recipe to make. This dosa requires less time unlike other dosa batter requires extra time for fermentation. It has mainly two main ingredients , Rice and Coconut. It can be prepared without coconut but coconut will give smooth and soft texture to the dosa. It can be served with Sweet chutney, Mangalore Style Tomato gassi, Egg curry or chicken curry.
