Cripsy and tasty variation to the regular poori and kids will like to eat peas poori with out any complains about peas in it.
Ingredients :
Boiled Green Peas - 1 cup
Whole Wheat Flour - 2 cups
Curds - 4 tbsp
Chili powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
Finely chopped Mint leaves - 1/2 bunch
Finely chopped Coriander leaves - 1/2 bunch
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 1 tsp
Water - for kneading
Oil for frying
Method:
Step 1 : Boil fresh green peas with little salt and keep aside
Step 2 : In a wide bowl, add Wheat Flour, Chili powder, Cumin powder, Coriander powder, garam masala and Salt and Mix well
Step 3 : Add Mint leaves, Coriander leaves & boiled Green Peas and Mix well and add water gradually and knead into bit tight dough(tighter than chapathi dough)
Step 4 : Add oil and knead the dough and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes
Step 5 : Make small balls of dough and start to flatten it. *Neither too thin nor too thick.
Step 6 : Deep fry in hot oil and remove when it start to turn light brown in color
Serve hot with any sabzi or even with coconut chutney
Note: Instead of poori, chapathi can be prepared with same dough.
