Capsicum Tomato Sabji

Capsicum Tomato sabji is the one of the easiest sabji/sabzi prepared for chapathi with less ingredients. This sabji can be prepared only with onion and tomato by skipping capsicum. Onion and Tomato sabji is the base for many more gravies for Indian Breads. This recipe is suitable for Bachelors because it needs less knowledge about cooking and basic ingredients.

Paneer Butter Masala

Paneer butter masala is one of the most popular paneer dish. It is creamy, onion-tomato and cashew based gravy and topped with fresh cream. It can be served with chapatis, rotis, pulka, kulcha and other indian breads. I replace cashew with almonds, since almonds are much healthier than cashew.

Paneer Butter Masala without Onion and Garlic

Paneer Butter Masala without onion and garlic is creamy, tangy and little spicy tomato based gravy. This recipe came to my rescue when one of my family friend visited my place who were on vratha/vrat where they cannot consume neither onion nor garlic for couple of days. Till that time, I haven't tried Paneer butter masala without garlic or onion.

Dum Aloo

Dum Aloo is most famous and rich potato dish in India. It is prepared in different parts of India and has its own flavors in it. Kashmiri dum aloo and Punjabi dum aloo are quite famous in India. Baby potatoes will be deep fried and slowly cooked in smooth, fine paste of onion-tomato and finally curd is added into the gravy. It is curd based gravy. It can be served along with chapathi, Naan, Kulcha or even with rice. In this recipe, instead of deep frying baby potatoes in oil , I have shallow fried the baby potatoes.

Vegetable Saagu - Karnataka Style

Mixed vegetable saagu is coconut based mixed veg gravy with a beautiful blend of flavors and spices and green tint in color. In every hotels and houses in karnataka prepares this recipe and little variation in the masala. Any vegetables can be added into this gravy. Beetroot may turn the gravy into light red. Pudina and coriander leaves gives a greenish tint and wonderful aroma to the curry. I have been eating this saagu along with dosa, chapathi or poori from childhood. Obviously, this recipe is passed from my mom. Whenever I find left veggies in fridge, I prepare this saagu.
