Sweet Corn Palak Gravy


Hello Foodies,

I had taken a break for cooking. I thought of preparing Sweet Corn Palak Gravy. It takes couple of mins to prepare this dish.This is my version of Palak and Sweet corn gravy. Who doesn't like palak and Sweet Corn? Every 90s kids like Spinach because of Popeye the sailor.It can be served with Paratha, Chapathi, Poori. Instead of Sweet Corn, Paneer can be used.





Palak has a high nutritional value and is extremely rich in antioxidants and Iron. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinach )

Ingredients:

Palak – 6 bunches
Steamed Sweet Corn – 1 Cup
Finely Chopped Onion – 1 Big
Finely Chopped Garlic – 10 cloves
Garam Masala – 1 table spoon
Red Chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
1 or 2 Green Chilli – to taste
Salt to taste
Lemon Juice
Fresh Cream – 1 table spoon


Procedure:

  1. Add the cleaned palak into the boiling water for 5mins and remove from the hot water and rinse with cold water or Cook the palak for 5mins in microwave with ¼ glass water.
  2. Make a paste of Palak with green chillies.
  3. Heat two table spoon of oil in kadai. Add Jeera and finely chopped Garlic. Add Onion and Fry till it turns transluent.
  4. Add Salt and Red chilli powder(optional)
  5. Add Palak paste and cook for 2-3 mins.
  6. Add Steamed Sweet corn into kadai and cook for 5mins.
  7. Add Garam Masala into it.
  8. Add Fresh Cream and Lemon Juice for extra taste.It adds extra taste to the dish.

I have added processed cheese instead of Fresh Cream.
