Malpua


Hello Foodies,

Gowri Ganesha festival went fine. we all cousins gathered at my grand pa's place. We all had masti. Well,from many days, I wanted to prepare Malpua. Today i got sometime to prepare it. 
Here goes the method to prepare Malpua....





Ingredients:-
For Batter:
Milk - 1/2 ltr
Maida - 1 Cup
Suji - 1/2 Cup
Cardamon powder for flavor
Sugar - 1 tbsp
Oil for deep frying

For sugar syrup:
Water - 1 Cup
Sugar - 1 Cup 
Cardamon powder for flavor
Chopped almonds for Garnishing 

Preparation: 
Step 1: Boil milk and keep it aside to cool
Step 2: Add Suji, Maida, Sugar and Cardamon powder into Milk and Mix it well to avoid lumps in the batter
Step 3: Keep the batter in fridge for 1-2 hrs.
Step 4: Prepare Sugar syrup by adding sugar into Water. Stir till sugar dissoves in water completely. Add cardomon powder. Cook on low flame till it forms the thick syrup of one string consistency.
Step 5: Heat non-stick pan(Flat), Add oil.Pour batter with a ladle into oil. Cook on medium flame till pancakes turn golden brown from both the sides.
Step 6: Take them out and put them in sugar syrup for 3-4 mins.
Step 7: Garnish with chopped almonds and serve hot.
