My mom used to prepare similar type of chicken but she used to marinate
chicken with soyasauce for atleast 30mins. I will post my mom's recipe soon.
Ingredients:
Chicken - 1/2 kg
Ginger and Garlic (paste/minced) - 2 tbsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
Soya Sauce - 1 tbsp
Chilli flakes - 1.5 tsp
Pepper powder - 1.5 tsp
Sesame seeds - 1 tbsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Method:
Step 1 : Heat oil in a pan or wok and add ginger garlic paste and fry for 30 sec to 1 min.
Step 2 : Wash and dice chicken into medium size pieces. Add chicken pieces into wok and sear on all sides. Add salt and sugar and allow to cook for 5 mins.
Step 3 : Add soya sauce and chilli flakes and coat chicken well and cover it. Let it cook on a low flame till the chicken cook completely. In between check chicken whether it is dried completely. If it dries then sprinkle little water.
Step 4 : Once the chicken cooks completely then add pepper powder and roasted sesame and mix well. Switch off the stove. Serve hot as a starter or can be served along with rice.
