Kothu Parota with left over sabji

Hi All,

I am back with a recipe of Kothu Parota. My cook had prepared chapathi and onion-tomato based sabji for my dinner but I didn’t have a mood to have chapati. Last time, when I had been to Jr. Kuppanna restaurant in Koramanagala, Bangalore, I had Egg Kothu parota and it was super awesome and tasty. I thought of preparing kothu parota/chapathi with chapathi and sabji. Kothu Parota is a delicacy popular in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is based on a Sri Lankan version where it originated as Kothu Roti.

Hello Yellow Wallet

Hi All,

I was desperately in search for a wallet from couple of days. I am very much comfortable with small wallets which can fit any size of Handbags. More than that it should hold my paper money, coins, plastic cards and other things like photos of my all family members, Ganapathi photo.  I don’t have much patience to search online. So thought of purchasing in shop itself. I bought one cute wallet from Yahoo which had the colors mint, yellow and pink combination. I came back in hurry and transferred from my old wallet to the new cutie. Later realized that wallet was not locking properly. In next min itself, I called the yahoo and checked with him whether I can exchange it. When I heard that  it can be done, immediately went back and exchanged with my new Yellow Yellow (but not a dirty fellow) Wallet.

I am back

Hi All,

I am back after almost three months. Before starting my update, Let me Wish you all a Very Happy New Year. It's too late to wish :). I was tied up with couple of things from past couple of weeks. My brother had visited us for a month. He is pursuing his Masters in US. In Jan, I joined back to office after seven months. I had a separation anxiety with my daughter for a few days. Now we both have adjusted to the new routine. She turned 9 months yesterday and now my son got adjusted with his sister but still he irritates her with his naughtiness.

I wanted to share the gifts presented to me by my brother and even my brother-in-law. But it’s too late to share. Still I want to share with you all. :)

Skin Care : Tip of the day

Winter has just started here and already my skin has started to show the dryness around my mouth and nose. My current moisturizer "Lotus AloeHydra" is not doing any justice to skin dryness. Instead of this, I have started using Ponds Cold Cream at home but it makes my face looks oily and sticky. Tried a simple home made face mask. Ahhhh..It worked wonderfully.....

Makeup Haul Post: Oct 2012

October and November are the months of festivals. I had bought an Anarkali Black, White and Red dress. Unfortunately it was not fitting me and it was the last piece. Instead of Anarkali, I bought Saree for myself after two years. I hardly wear the saree for the functions. I cannot carry saree when I attend functions along with my kids.  

Dasara Special: Bombe Mane

I wanted to update this post during Dasara itself. But i was super busy during Dasara at home. We do pooja at parents place on Ayudh pooja(Navami) and VijayLakshmi(Dashami) days. Mysore is very famous for Dasara. Different cultural programs will be organized during these 10days for different age groups like Yuva dasara for young generation, Mahila dasara for Ladies, Music programs at palace. Being a mysorian, Dasara brings a lot of happiness during these 10days. 

Haul Post: Oct 2012

Dasara has kicked off in mysore. It’s our Naada habba (local festival). From childhood, it’s more fun during dasara. City will be decorated like a new bride with lights lights and lights. Different type of competitions will be held during Navarathri like Singing, Dancing, Park decoration, Garden decoration, Doll arrangement etc.  A Lot of functions will be held in different places in the city like Yuva dasara, programs inside the palace, Jaganmohana palace. I will be updating about Dasara in the coming post.
