Chicken pakoda is an Indian chicken fritters which is a perfect snack for an evening tea time. It is crunchy and best to eat during rainy or winter season. It is prepared using boneless chicken and besan/chickpea flour. Spiciness can be increased by adding more red chilli powder.
Ingredients:
Boneless Chicken - 200 gram
Finely chopped Onion - 2
Finely chopped Green chilli - 2
Ginger Garlic paste - 1/2 tbsp
Coriander leaves - 3 tbsp
Red chili powder - 2 tsp
Gram flour - 1/2 Cup
Rice flour - 1 tbsp
Corn flour - 1 tbsp
Carom seeds - 1/4 tsp (for digestion)
Salt as per your taste
Oil as required for frying
Water as required for mixing pakoda
Method:
Step 1 : Cut chicken into small chunks and keep it aside.
Step 2 : In a mixing bowl, Add Besan, Rice flour, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, carom seeds and salt. Mix well.
Step 3 : Add remaining ingredients chicken chunks, onion, green chilies, coriander leaves into the mixing bowl and Mix well. Add hot oil into it and sprinkle 3 to 4 tbsp water into it and mix well again. If more water is required then add little water at a time and mix well.
Step 4 : Heat oil in a deep frying pan. When the oil is hot, add small amount of pakoda mix into oil as shown in pic. Deep fry till it is golden brown.
Serve with tomato ketchup.
