Simple and quick homemade doughnut bites are made without Yeast. All you need is baking powder instead of yeast. It won't take more 15 to 20 mins to devour these donuts.
Ingredients:
Maida / All purpose flour - 1 1/4 cups
Granulated Sugar - 1/4 cup
Baking Powder - 2 tspSalt - 1/4 tsp
Buttermilk - 1/2 cup
Melted Butter - 3 tbspAny vegetable oil for frying
For Coating
Powdered sugar or Chocolate ganache or Chocolate sauce
Note : Buttermilk can be substituted by Milk and 1.5 tsp lemon juice. Add lemon juice into milk and leave for 5 mins
Method:
Step 1 : In a mixing bowl, Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, whisk buttermilk and melted butter.
Step 2 : Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Mix using a fork and do not over work on dough. Gently roll dough into 1/2 Tbsp balls.
Step 3 : Pour enough oil into pan, to deep fry doughnuts. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot enough, drop rolled dough into it. Fry until turns golden brown on bottom and then flip and fry other side turns golden brown. Drain onto a paper towel.
Step 4 : Roll each doughnut in powdered sugar or topped with chocolate ganache.
