Paneer Sandwich is one of the quick, healthy, delicious and kids friendly dish. Easily we can make kids to eat veggies along with paneer. Kids won't say no to Paneer. It can be packed for both Lunch and Snacks for kids. Paneer filling for sandwich is Indian style recipe. Milk or White bread can be replaced with brown bread.
Ingredients:
Bread slices - 10 to 12
Paneer (grated) - 1/2 cup
Onion - 1 medium size
Ginger - Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Tomato - 1 medium size
Tomato - 1 medium size
Capsicum - 1/2 medium size
Jeera/Cummin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Tomato sauce - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 tsp
Grated cheese - 1/2 cup (optional)
Butter to toast
Method:
Step 1 : Grate Paneer and finely chop onion, tomato, capsicum and keep it aside.
Step 2 : Heat oil in a pan . Add jeera and once it starts spluttering then add onions and saute till golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for 1 min and now add capsicum and fry for a minute.
Step 3 : Add salt ,red chilli powder, garam masala powder and fry for a min. Then add tomatoes and saute until mushy. Add tomato sauce and give a quick stir.
Step 4 : Add grated paneer/cottage cheese and mix well. Cook for a minute. Do not over cook. Otherwise it drys quickly. Garnish with coriander leaves and switch off.
Paneer filling is ready for sandwich.
Step 5 : Take 2 slices of bread. Spread a layer of paneer filling on 1 side of the bread and top it with grated cheese. Apply a thin layer of tomato ketchup on other slice of the bread and close it, press well so that it gets sealed. Heat a tawa / sandwich maker with butter and toast the bread until it turns golden brown on both sides.
Serve hot Paneer Sandwich along with Tomato ketchup.
