Tomato Chutney


This chutney learnt from my MIl's co-sister who is from ooty. She prepare tomato chutney for Dosa and Idly. She prepares different type of chutneys for dosa. I have learnt couple of chutneys from her. I will be sharing soon.





Ingredients:
 
Tomato – 4
Garlic – 8 flakes
Red chilli Powder – 1.5 tbsp
Salt as needed

To temper
Oil – 2 tblsp
Mustard – 1/2 tsp

Method:
 
Step 1: Chop tomato, peel garlic and grind both to a smooth paste without water.

Step 2: In a pan, heat oil and temper with mustard and pour the the tomato garlic paste into it. After 1 min, add red chilli powder and salt into it and close the pan. Since it splutters, be careful. Cook for 3 to 4 mins or oil separates. Serve with chapathi, Paratha or Dosa.
