Strawberry Jam

Anybody is there, who doesn't like Jam. Hmmm...I know that everyone loves it. Always I tried to give my best to my kids especially when it comes home made food. During Strawberry's season, I prepare strawberry jam and store in the fridge. It’s pretty much easy to prepare. Here goes the recipe...


Ingredients:

Strawberry       - 250gms
Sugar            - 1.25 to 1.5 Cup 
Lemon Juice      - 1 tbsp

Method :

Step 1 : Rinse the strawberries thoroughly in the water and chop them finely.

Step 2 : Take the finely chopped strawberries, sugar and lemon juice in a pan. 

Step 3 : Keep this mixture for 1 to 2hrs or even kept overnight in the fridge. 

Step 4 : Keep the Pan on the stove on low to medium flame. 

Step 5 : Strawberries will start leaving their juice and begin to cook. 

Step 6 : Stir at intervals till the strawberries soften and cooked.

Step 7 : Keep on stirring till it reduces and after sometime, mixture will be thick and of Jam consistency.

Step 8 : When the mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan, then its almost done. Now take the plate out and drop a spoonful of mixture in it. If it falls like sheet, then its done. If it is still watery you can put it back on stove and cook for few more mins.

Step 9 : Allow it cool and later transfer the jam into sterilized glass or plastic bottle and keep the bottle in the fridge
