Honey Chicken

Honey chicken is one of my kids favorite dish. Since its not spicy and taste sweet and little bit tangy. It is easy to prepare and require less ingredients.

Ingredients:

Boneless Chicken      - 500 gms
Roasted Sesame seeds  - 1 tbsp

For Batter:
All Purpose Flour     – 1/2 cup
Corn Flour            – 1/2 cup
Baking Powder         – 1 tsp
Ginger-Garlic paste   - 2 tbsp
Pepper powder         - 1/2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Water as needed

For Sauce:
Tomato Ketchup        – 1/2 cup
Sugar                 – 3 tblspn
Honey                 – 3 tblspn
Water                 – 3 tblspn

Oil for Deep Frying

Method:
Step 1 : Wash and cut chicken into small cubes or pieces.

Step 2 : Mix all the ingredients under sauce and keep it aside.

Step 3 : Take all the ingredients under Batter in a bowl and mix well. Slowly add water and make a batter which is neither too thick nor runny. It should be little thinner than bajji batter or of dosa batter consistency.

Step 4 : Heat oil for heating. Once oil is enough hot, then dip each chicken pieces in batter and fry till golden or crispy. Drain on a paper and set aside.

Step 5 : Add sauce mix in a wide pan. Once sauce starts boiling then add fried chicken and toss well. Add roasted sesame seeds into and toss again.
Serve hot Honey chicken.

Note : Honey chicken should be served hot. After sometime, honey chicken won’t be having crispiness. Hence chicken can be fried and keep it ready. While serving, fried chicken can be tossed with sauce and serve hot.
